What Is an INCI List? How to Read the Back of the Bottle
The standardised ingredient list on the back of a product, in descending order of amount down to one percent, then in any order.
On the label
The first five or six names are most of what is in the bottle. Anything after the preservative is usually a trace.
What it does not mean
It does not tell you percentages, and a headline ingredient near the bottom is not a fault; some work in small amounts.
