Terms and conditions
These are the terms you agree to when you order from this site. They are written to be read, not to be survived, and nothing in them takes away a right the Consumer Guarantees Act or the Fair Trading Act gives you.
Who you are buying from
Silka sells and ships from New Zealand. Prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST where it applies. If you need to reach us about an order, write to [email protected] and a person answers.
Your rights come first
You have guarantees under the Consumer Guarantees Act that we cannot contract out of, and nothing on this page tries to. If a product is faulty, not as described, or does not do what we said it would, those rights apply on top of anything promised here.
Prices and the campaign discount
The price shown at checkout is the price charged. A discount campaign runs most of the time and the percentage advertised is the percentage applied, because the checkout reads the same campaign the page does. When a campaign ends the price changes. We do not show a struck through price that nobody has paid.
Placing an order
An order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when we take payment and send you a confirmation. If something is out of stock or a price is obviously wrong, we may decline the order and refund you in full rather than hold you to it.
Payment
Payment is handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and are never seen or stored by this site. Stripe presents the payment methods available for a New Zealand account, which today is Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Subscriptions
A subscription renews monthly at the price shown when you started it, until you cancel. You can skip a delivery or cancel at any time from your account or from the link in every email, and cancelling stops the next charge. We do not require a phone call and there is no minimum term.
Delivery
Orders leave Auckland the next business day and most of New Zealand has them within two to four working days. Tracking is emailed when the parcel ships. Delivery estimates are estimates, and a courier delay is not something we control, though we will chase it with you.
What this product is
Silka is a cosmetic. It is intended to change how skin looks and feels. It is not a medicine, it does not treat or cure any condition, and nothing on this site should be read as medical advice. If you have a skin condition, see a doctor or a dermatologist.
Using the roller safely
The roller is an application tool. Use light pressure on clean skin, do not share it, and stop if your skin reacts. Do not use it on broken skin, active acne, eczema or sunburn. If something looks wrong, stop and ask a professional.
Reviews you submit
If you send a review through this site, you are telling us it is your own honest experience of the product. We read every review before any of it is published, and we may decline to publish one. If we publish it we may show your first name and last initial. We do not publish your email address.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page. The terms that apply to your order are the ones published when you placed it, so a later change does not reach backwards into an order already made.
Which law applies
New Zealand law governs these terms and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction. If any part of this page turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of it still stands.
