What Is Squalane? The Light Oil for People Who Think They Hate Oils

A light, stable oil that closely resembles one skin makes for itself, now made from olives or sugarcane. It softens the surface and slows water leaving it without feeling greasy.

On the label

Squalane, sometimes hydrogenated squalene. Plant derived is the norm now; shark derived squalene has largely gone.

What it does not mean

It does not mean a serum or an active. It is a finishing layer that goes over a water based serum, never under one, and it does not roll well.
