What Is Hyaluronic Acid? The Hydration Ingredient, Without the Hype
A sugar molecule that holds water, occurring naturally in skin and made for skincare by fermentation. In a serum it is a humectant.
On the label
Sodium hyaluronate is the common salt form. Multi weight or low molecular weight means smaller pieces; the difference in a mirror is small.
What it does not mean
It does not fill lines from the outside the way the injectable version does, and it does not hold a thousand times its weight on your face in any way you would notice.
