Polydeoxyribonucleotide: DNA cut into short fragments, in skincare almost always sourced from salmon. It is the ingredient behind the salmon DNA serums that have moved from Korean clinics to New Zealand bathroom shelves.
On the label
Usually listed as sodium DNA or PDRN, often low on the list, because a little goes a long way in a formula. A pink tint is a design choice, not a sign of how much is in the bottle.
What it does not mean
It does not mean the serum does what a clinic injection does. A cosmetic PDRN serum sits on the surface and can fairly promise skin that looks more hydrated and plumper while you use it, and nothing further down.
